BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (AP)– The Rhode Island farmhouse where the paranormal happenings that influenced the 2013 scary film “The Conjuring” took place has actually been offered to a Boston designer who prepares to keep it open to the general public.

The 18th century house in Burrillville cost $1.525 million on Thursday, far greater than the $1.2 million asking rate.
