PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)– Providence authorities stated Monday a male is implicated of pretending to be an Uber motorist and attacking a traveler over the weekend.

Maj. David Lapatin informed ABC 6 News that a 31-year-old female and her pal bought an Uber to choose them up from Hair salon club Saturday night.

The female, Lapatin stated, informed officers they believed they were entering the appropriate automobile however the motorist “fooled them.”

” They had him pull over in front of Providence Location shopping center and she handed her phone to her pal to take a photo of the license plate, however the suspect got the phone, tossed it and it struck the Old Navy, triggering the alarm,” the significant stated.

The female informed officers the motorist then got her and tossed her to the pavement. The female declined medical treatment when authorities and fire got to the scene, Lapatin stated.
