PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)– Rhode Island motorists will have a bit more time to invest with the exit numbers they’re utilized to on I-95.
The R.I. Department of Transport (RIDOT) informed 12 News on Friday that the prepared renumbering of the exits needed to be delayed due to a hold-up in the shipment of the products required.
The task, which was expected to start this Sunday, July 31, will rather get underway on Sunday, Aug. 7.
The renumbering belongs to a multi-year strategy to get the interstates and other highways in line with federal requirements for exits to associate keyed mile markers.
RIDOT stated the old exit numbers will be consisted of on the momentary indications being set up. The task is anticipated to take about a month to finish.
