The U.S. Fish & & Wildlife Service with assistance from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is now providing a FREE Archery day this month. The occasion will be hung on Friday, July 29th, 10am to 1pm at the Kettle Pond Archery Variety in Charlestown.
They will be providing all of the devices (please do not bring your own). To be able to contend the variety you need to take part in a half hour variety security session prior to the occasion.
Bear in mind archery is not a sport for everybody, so more youthful kids (8 and under) might not have the ability to securely shoot a weapon yet. For the more youthful kids we will have nature crafts, puzzles, video games and scavenger hunts inside in the visitor center.

Ninigret National Wildlife Sanctuary is among 5 sanctuaries of the Rhode Island National Wildlife Sanctuary Complex. This sanctuary, the previous Charlestown Naval Auxiliary Landing Center lies in Charlestown, Rhode Island. The glacial ice sheet and previous usages have actually formed this sanctuary’s varied landscape. It is understood for its migratory bird types, and its abundant history.
The Ocean View Path, available from the Kettle Pond Visitor Center, is a 1/2 mile path marked by 15,000 year-old ridges and anxieties formed by the terrific ice sheet. At the end of the path is a tower where visitors are dealt with to views of Ninigret Pond, seaside shrublands, barrier beaches, and Block Island.
