BOSTON (WLNE)– The Boston Celtics revealed Thursday that they’ll be honoring Costs Russell in 2 different house video games throughout the upcoming season.
Russell, an 11-time NBA Champ with the Celtics, died last month at 88 years of ages.
Both the house opener versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 18 and the Feb. 12 match versus the Memphis Grizzlies have actually been called “Costs Russell Homage Games.”
The group will honor Russell’s life with homages throughout both video games.
On opening night, the Celtics will reveal a brand-new alternate uniform that will be a homage to Russell.
Boston’s complete schedule for the 2022-23 NBA season was launched Wednesday.
