Bryant Football Picked Fifth in Big South, Pound Joe Andreessen Called First String All Conference


Bryant University football linebacker Joe Andreessen was called to the Preseason All-Big South group, the league revealed on Tuesday throughout the Big South Football Media Day provided by BuyB1.com.

In addition, pass receiver David Zorrilla and long snapper David McCain were called respectable reference choices to the preseason group. Bryant was slated to end up 5th in the six-team league, getting one first-place vote. North Carolina A&T was chosen to win the league by a vote of the coaches.

Andreessen is coming off a profession year in 2021 that saw him make All-Northeast Conference honors for the second-straight year. McCain acted as Bryant’s long snapper on basket, PATs and punts last fall and will go back to that post this fall.

The 2022 season marks Bryant’s very first as a member of the Big South. Bryant opens its season on Sept. 1 at Florida International prior to hosting Rhode Island on Sept. 10 at Beirne Arena. The Black and Gold will play host to Charleston Southern and Campbell, and will take a trip to N.C. A&T, Charleston Southern and Robert Morris.
