Boston guy eliminated by lightning strike in Wyoming

BOSTON (WLNE)– Boston College High School revealed Sunday that a person of their previous trainees passed away after being struck by lightning Tuesday.

John “Jack” Murphy passed away near Enos Lake in the Absaroka Mountains of Wyoming, according to Murphy’s obituary.

The 22-year-old was struck while on a Wilderness First Responder exploration with the National Outdoor Management School.

The South End local belonged to the 2018 state champion rugby group and finished because very same year. He would then go to the University of Colorado.

” Jack exhibited the management qualities that we want to impart in our trainees and lived our Jesuit objective to be a ‘guy for others,'” check out in a Facebook post. “We will continue to hold his household, colleagues, and schoolmates in our prayers and want to provide some convenience as the BC High neighborhood comes together to commemorate his life later on today.”

A funeral service for Murphy will be on Wednesday at the Trinity Church in Boston.
